School Workshops

Primary school

Gail Halvorsen and Stephanie Walker, a Forest School Leader, ran a year long wood workshop with Tynewater Primary in Pathhead, Midlothian. The project started in the classroom looking at the properties of wood and culminated in the construction of Wooploft – high-level hut in nearby woodland.

Secondary school

Gail Halvorsen was the ‘professional architect’ for a full days workshop with pupils from Alness Academy, Ross and Cromarty. The programme, organised by Class of Your Own Limited, encourages children to follow a career in the building industry. Students take on the roles and responsibilities of a building design company to design an Eco Classroom for their local community and school use.
